On September 1, applications for the first All-Russian competition of agrotouristic TURFERMA facilities. Agricultural enterprises from all over Russia engaged in attracting tourists are invited to participate. The competition is held online, and the prizes are quite offline and useful. We tell you the details.
The All–Russian competition of agrotouristic objects “TURFERMA” is for the creators of interesting tourist programs implemented at their own agricultural facilities. Agrotourism is a topic that the Association of Tour Operators (ATOR) has been actively engaged in over the past few years, so ATOR could not get past such a wonderful idea as “TURFERMA”.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE TURFERMA COMPETITION
You need to be a representative of an agricultural facility. For example, it can be a farm that breeds animals or produces meat, dairy, fish products, grows and processes fruits, vegetables, herbs, an apiary, a cheese factory, a winery, or another agricultural facility.
It is also necessary to have an active tourism project at the agricultural facility, for example, you are able to conduct a non-standard tour, use interesting solutions for tourist accommodation, have developed unusual gastronomic sets for tastings or have implemented any other tourist ideas that are successfully implemented at the agricultural facility.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TURFERMA COMPETITION
To participate, you need:
- Make a short presentation (the template of which is already posted on the contest’s website) about your agrotouristic project and fill out a questionnaire. In the presentation, describe the advantages of the project, talk about its implementation and demand among tourists, illustrating the presentation with photographs.
- Fill out the application form as carefully and in detail as possible , send it and the presentation online, directly on the contest website.
BY WHAT DATE CAN I APPLY FOR THE CONTEST
Applications are accepted until September 30, 2024 inclusive.
WHAT WILL THE WINNERS GET
The authors of the 20 best projects will have the opportunity to go on a two-day trip to the Tula region for free to exchange experiences, learn about advanced achievements in the field of agrotourism and upgrade their professional skills.
